A Little About the Opportunity

Did you know?

Olympic diver Fu Mingxia became the world's youngest sporting champion at the tender age of 12 in 1991. This is unlikely ever to be beaten - the minimum age for major competitions is now 14.

Sinoculture provides opportunities to learn Chinese Mandarin in at the Yantai University in the city of Yantai, Shandong province. Forty million people are learning Chinese overseas according to official statistics, and this number is increasing by 20% per year. China is in transition from a centrally-planned economy to a market-orientated one, which will increase its influence on world affairs, while the Chinese economy is developing very fast, and is becoming the biggest market in the world for products and services such as cars, mobiles, IT, stocks, and all industrial products. Chinese is also one of the five UN official languages.

All international students will be divided into different classes according to their actual Chinese level. The classes will be classified into beginning, elementary, medium and advanced levels. Students can choose their own class categories at their own discretion within 2 weeks after class is open. All international students will live in the dormitory building on campus. They can choose to stay alone or share the room with another international student. The size of each room is about 20 square metres, with two beds, TV, bathroom, fan, phone, chair, table, book shelves and cupboard. Water, electricity and heating are provided free of charge.
